Ready to hit “submit” on your application to the University of Arizona? Great! Haven’t even started your application yet? Don’t worry, we’re not judging. No matter where you are in the process, we’ve gathered some expert advice from the pros who help students like you become Arizona Wildcats every day. Here are their tips for making the application process a breeze.

Early Bird Gets the Scholarship

“The sooner a student applies, the sooner they’ll find out whether they’ve been admitted or not. And the sooner a student has been admitted, the more time they will have to apply for scholarships on our scholarship-matching website, Scholarship Universe. College is a big financial investment, and students should take advantage of any opportunity to apply for scholarships.”

Molly Ingram, Regional Recruiter, Northern California

Personal Statement: Optional but Encouraged

“You have the opportunity to complete a personal statement if you feel your application needs more depth. A personal statement gives some insight into your life, highlights important characteristics, and most importantly, can add an additional component to your application. You will often hear me say ‘we don’t know what we don’t know,’ so make sure your personal statement tells us your story.”

Christina Dominguez, Regional Recruiter, Texas

Help's Here When You Need It

“Senior year can bring all the feels – excitement for the next chapter, stress over what to do about college, sadness for saying goodbye to your peers. I’m sure these feelings are compounded immensely due to the effects of COVID-19. Please know that we want to help you along the way. I’m a huge advocate for getting in contact with your admissions representatives. We’re chock-full of tips, resources and connections all throughout campus.”
