“I thought it was going to be hard making friends because I was a transfer student. But I found some of my best friends after joining Mortar Board, the honor society. Becoming a part of the culture here will be my favorite memory. The university is based in tradition and unity, even though we all come from such different backgrounds.”

“Getting into Mortar Board at the end of my junior year has to be the best part of my time at the U of A. It’s more than an honor society — we elected the top five kings for Homecoming court and hosted Homecoming events for alumni, volunteered at the Tucson Community Food Bank, took a trip to Las Vegas and went camping in Sedona.”

“Moving into my dorm I remember having all those ‘first experiences,’ like meeting my roommates. I was part of the move-in crew, and that set the stage for having a really fun and involved time at Arizona. I’m from Phoenix, but it still felt far from home. College is about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, and soon you start feeling more independent.”
