Find Your Home at Arizona
From first-year dorms to Greek housing, living on campus puts you at the center of everything. Each dorm offers a unique atmosphere and community, while housing districts are designed to keep classes, dining, and social spaces within easy reach. Living on campus is expected for first-year, main campus students.
Dorm Districts
There are four housing districts at the University of Arizona, all conveniently located near your classes, dining, and places to meet up and hang out.

Highland District
Nine dorms are located within the Highland District, including Navajo-Pinal (within the football stadium!). Head north on Highland Avenue and you’re directly on the mall; south, and you’re at CampusRec. Not a bad place to be!
- Known for: The Highland Burrito – a Wildcat legend
- Closest to: Arizona Stadium and McKale (hello, ZonaZoo!)
- Best hangout spot: The Highland Quad
Historic District
This is where you’re bound to run into a familiar face, and find your community. The average size of the nine dorms is just under 200 students – you’re likely to know your hallmates, residents on different floors, and more.
- Closest to: The mall, Student Union, and Old Main
- Best hangout spot: The Turtle Pond
- Live here if you want: The classic collegiate dorm experience
North District
Although the North District is home to just one dorm, the Honors Village, it’s absolutely not isolated. The Honors Village is the largest residence hall on campus, home to more than 1,000 Honors Wildcats.
- Closest to: NorthRec
- Best hangout spot: The interior courtyard
- Some pros include: Collaborative learning classrooms and study spaces
Park District
On the southwest corner of campus, the Park District is home to some of the largest dorms at the University of Arizona, including Arizona-Sonora (AZ-So, for those in-the-know) and Coronado.
- Closest to: University Boulevard – and its restaurants
- Best hangout spot: Some of the best views of campus and beyond
- Some pros include: The outdoor volleyball courts at the Global Center
Greek Housing
Nearly half of Arizona’s 50 fraternities and sororities have on-campus housing. First-year members typically live in dorms or off-campus apartments, while second-year students and beyond can choose to live in Greek housing. These communities offer opportunities for leadership, connection, and lasting friendships.
Dining On & Around Campus
From quick bites between classes to sit-down meals with friends, eating on and around campus is easy, convenient, and full of variety.
On-Campus Dining
With 30+ dining options across campus, Wildcats can nourish their body and mind with a wide variety of cuisines – from all-you-care-to-eat dining halls to grab-and-go markets. Registered dieticians are available to help with dietary restrictions and more.
Meal Plans
Students can choose the meal plan that works best for them, including debit- and swipe-based options. Manage your budget on and off campus with CatCa$h, a flexible account that covers meals, vending, printing, supplies, and select off-campus retailers.
Restaurants Near the University
Tucson’s dining scene is just steps from campus. Explore Main Gate Square, Downtown, Fourth Avenue, and Mercado Districts to find local favorites, student-friendly spots, and a variety of cuisines.
Food Assistance
The Campus Pantry supports Wildcats experiencing food insecurity, offering essential staples like canned goods, fresh produce, and peanut butter at no cost. Students can swipe their CatCard to access items and maintain nutrition while on campus.
