One way to demonstrate English proficiency is through high school or university curriculum and/or coursework.

The Undergraduate University Track Pathway (U-Track Pathway) is the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL)’s English proficiency pathway program. It features a content-based curriculum specifically for conditionally admitted students to the University of Arizona.
Students learn content similar to what they will encounter in their first year as undergraduates, thereby improving their language abilities. They also enroll in a CESL-supported general education course for credit; this course will count toward any major at the University of Arizona.

All applicants to the University of Arizona whose primary language is not English, or who attended school in a non-English speaking country – regardless of citizenship – must prove English Proficiency.
However, if you are applying for undergraduate admission and have completed 3 years of regular English classes with a "C" or better at an accredited American high school (domestic or abroad), you do not need to demonstrate English proficiency.
If your official transcripts are not issued in English, you'll need to submit a certified English translation after you are admitted. Translations must be completed by a certified academic translation service and should accurately reflect the content of the original documents.
