Planning Your Visit

Taking a campus tour is the best way to fall in love with the University of Arizona. We can't wait to show you around and give you inside tips about being a Wildcat.

Come prepared to ask any questions you have about student life. Once you visit, you’ll definitely want to stay!

What to Expect During Your Campus Tour

You’ll enjoy a short presentation to learn more about everything the University of Arizona offers and how to become a student here. Following the presentation, you'll take a walking tour of central campus guided by a current student ambassador. 

Throughout your visit, admissions counselors and other professional staff are available to answer any questions you may have about attending the U of A.

University of Arizona Student Union Memorial Center (SUMC)

Parking & Check-In

When you arrive, check in at our Wildcat Welcome Center at the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd.

We suggest parking in the Second Street Parking Garage located at 1390 E. 2nd St., just north of the Student Union Memorial Center. To view parking rates and additional garage options, please visit our parking website here. 

Please arrive as close as possible to the check-in time indicated in your email (usually 15-30 minutes before your tour or event begins). This will ensure a smooth check-in process and help to reduce congestion within the lobby. Please note we cannot guarantee that you will be placed on a tour if you are more than 30 minutes late for your tour time.

What to Bring

Come curious and get ready to explore campus, learn about the Wildcat experience, and discover what makes Arizona feel like home. When planning for your visit, it's helpful to come prepared.

  • Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle.
  • Our sunny hometown of Tucson is located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, which means it can be hot. We encourage you to check the Tucson weather forecast and dress accordingly.
  • Come with questions about the University of Arizona! We’ve got answers.

Accessibility & Accommodations

Our campus tours are universally designed to provide a more inclusive experience for everyone. On your tour, your Arizona Ambassador will:

  • Use the accessible entrance to each of the buildings.
  • Use ramps and offer elevators.
  • Use voice boosters for clear communication with the group.

The following accommodations may be provided depending on availability: 

  • Wheelchairs
  • American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter

Getting Around

SunLink Streetcar
Tucson's SunLink Streetcar is a light rail train that runs through five Tucson districts located on or near the Arizona campus. Check here for their schedules, fares, and route.

Air Travel
Tucson International Airport (TUS), the Official Airport of the University of Arizona is located just 8 miles from campus and offers a convenient, stress-free travel experience. With a short 15-minute drive to the university, you'll be in the heart of Wildcat Country in no time. Visit flytucson.com for more information.
