Old Main
Opened in 1891, more than 20 years before Arizona became a state, this building in the heart of campus was originally home to classrooms, a library, offices, and dorms. Today it remains a symbol of the university’s rich history.
Alexander Berger Memorial Fountain
The fountain in front of Old Main was dedicated on January 31, 1920. Students, faculty, townspeople, and military came out to honor the University’s World War I dead, including Berger’s nephew, and to greet the guest of honor, General of the Armies of the United States John J. Pershing.
The President’s Pond
Known around campus as Turtle Pond, this water feature and surrounding gardens sit on the site of the former University President’s home and now offer a peaceful retreat for students and visitors alike.
USS Arizona Memorial & the Mall
Explore the mile-long grassy Mall, where the outline of the USS Arizona leads to the memorial replica. This open space hosts events, gatherings, and tailgating celebrations throughout the year.
The Women’s Plaza of Honor
A warm, inviting, and meditative gathering place near Centennial Hall, The Women's Plaza of Honor publicly and permanently celebrates women who have made significant contributions to the history of Arizona or enriched the lives of others.
Campus Arboretum
A living collection of trees planted throughout the nearly 400 acres of open spaces on the main University of Arizona campus in Tucson, the Campus Arboretum serves as a living laboratory promoting stewardship and conservation of urban trees through research, education, outreach, and example.
McKale Center at ALKEME Arena
Home to Wildcats basketball, McKale Center at ALKEME Arena is a hub of excitement and school spirit. Named for the late J.F. "Pop" McKale, who served as athletic director and coach from 1914 to 1957, the arena hosts crowds of nearly 14,000 for games and special events.
Casino del Sol Stadium
Casino del Sol Stadium hosts Wildcats football as well as major annual events, including Spring Commencement and the Arizona Bowl. Bringing together students, alumni, and fans, it’s a centerpiece for athletic excellence and campus celebrations.
Bear Down Building
Named after the famous last words of athlete John "Button" Salmon, Bear Down Building hosted basketball games until 1973, served as a military training site during WWII, and was repurposed in 2021 as a hub for the Student Success District.
Flandrau Planetarium
Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium
For more than four decades, Flandrau has inspired visitors with two levels of interactive exhibits and the 146-seat, full-dome Planetarium Theater. It serves as a classroom for students and offers immersive science programs for the Tucson community.

ENR2 is a premier facility highlighting sustainability in a desert environment while fostering collaboration among students, faculty, and researchers. The building houses multiple schools and features innovative labs and shared workspaces.
