What is STARS?

The Small Town and Rural Student (STARS) College Network is a coalition of leading colleges and universities working together to expand college access for students from small towns and rural communities. Through collaborative outreach, free advising, and strengthened support programs, STARS helps students gain the information, guidance, and opportunities they need to confidently navigate the path to higher education.

Our Commitment to Arizona’s Rural and Small-Town Students

The University of Arizona is committed to supporting students in every county, community, and tribal nation across the state. As a member of the STARS College Network, we are expanding outreach, advising, and partnerships so students in rural and small-town areas can confidently explore their options and access the guidance they need to pursue higher education.

Our goal is to meet students where they are and ensure that every Arizona student feels supported and empowered as they take their next steps toward a world-class university experience.
