No. It is recommended that students do not wait to apply since test scores are not required for admission. Please note: To be considered, official test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency.

Incoming first-year students are expected to live on campus. Research shows that students who live on campus their first year have higher GPAs and higher four-year graduation rates than those who don’t. Arizona community college students can preview how your credits will transfer by using our Transfer Credit Tool. If your credits are coming from an out-of-state institution, applicants can visit Transfer Credit and Articulation for more details. All undergraduate students (first-year and transfer students) can apply for admission through the University of Arizona’s Common App profile. This application covers consideration for admission, merit aid, and admission to the W.A. Franke Honors College.

Please note there is an undergraduate application fee of $50 for Arizona residents, $80 for non-Arizona residents from the U.S., and $85 for international students.

The application process varies for Arizona Online and graduate students.

You are considered a first-year student if you will soon graduate from high school, have already graduated, or have earned a GED and have not enrolled in college since. You are also considered a first-year student if you have completed fewer than 12 college credits after high school. Please note that enrolling in college coursework after high school graduation makes you ineligible for first-year tuition awards.

You are considered a transfer student if you have attended other colleges or universities, including community colleges, and have completed 12 or more transferable credits since graduating high school. Dual enrollment college credits achieved while in high school do not consider you a transfer student, any amount of dual enrollment credits achieved before the while in high school will not make you a transfer student.
