Priority Registration for the University of Arizona 

New transfer students typically register for classes after all continuing students at the University of Arizona. STU 210UA students have the opportunity to receive Priority Registration. Class standing is determined by the number of completed transferable credits at the time of admission. STU 210UA students register for classes based on their class standing. Students who fall under special populations, such as Veterans or Honors, are able to register with their special population.

To be eligible for Priority Registration* for the Fall 2024 semester, STU 210UA students must submit all application requirements to the Office of Admissions and request STU 210UA coding by the following deadlines:

Friday students: February 2, 2024

Tuesday students: February 6, 2024

Coding Deadline:

Friday students: February 16, 2024

Tuesday students: February 23, 2024

Admission Decisions for Arizona Applicants in STU 210UA 

* Due to additional evaluation time and requirements, expedited admission and Priority Registration are not available for those who fall into the following categories:

  • International Applicants or those whose applications require the review of International documents.
  • Re-Admit Applicants who left the University of Arizona with less than a 2.0 GPA.
  • Applicants who previously attended the University of Arizona as Non-Degree Seeking students and left with less than a 2.0 GPA.

** On STU 210UA Admission Decision dates, applicants will be notified that one of the following has occurred:

  • The Applicant has been admitted for Fall 2024 and can begin their enrollment process.
  • The Applicant's record is still under review. This can occur if the applicant has applied to one of the selective majors (Engineering, Nursing, Eller, etc.), or is not admissible to their first choice of major.
  • The Applicant is not admissible for the Fall 2024 term. Arizona Transfer Specialists can meet with these students to discuss their options.

Once you are admitted to the University of Arizona, you should begin your Next Steps Center right away. Information about Next Steps Center can be found in your admissions packet.

All admitted students for Fall 2024 must attend a mandatory College Meeting, and meet with their Arizona Academic Advisor, prior to registering for classes. Please see meeting dates below:

Once you have been admitted, and obtained your Student ID number and PIN, you must go to the Next Steps Center to complete your enrollment. To login to your Next Steps Center you will need to create a NetID. In your Next Steps Center, complete the “Path to Enrollment” tile to begin the process to become a Wildcat. We recommend bookmarking your Next Steps Center on your internet bookmark bar and writing down your login information since you will return to this portal frequently.

Yes, all students must pay the enrollment fee. The enrollment fee ensures your place at the University of Arizona's main campus in Tucson, Arizona. Ready to become a Wildcat? Complete the "Path to Enrollment" tile in your Next Steps Center to begin the enrollment process and pay your enrollment fee.

To apply for financial aid, submit your FAFSA to the University of Arizona and include our school code, 001083. You may also be required to submit your official high school transcripts for federal aid verification purposes, even if they were not required for admissions evaluation.

Yes, please have electronic transcripts sent to the following addresses:

*NOTE: We can only accept electronic transcripts processed by the sending institution through secure, third party vendors. Please request that your electronic transcript be sent directly to this email address, not to yourself or to your advisor.

You can visit the Advising Resource Center at advising.arizona.edu, and use the Directory to search for advisors by Major, Minor, or Certificate. Feel free to reach out to the academic advisor for colleges and programs you are interested in and have questions about.

Students enrolled in STU 210UA will qualify for Priority Registration for two regular semesters (Fall/Spring) following their Transfer Strategies course. If you decide to skip a term between the course and enrollment, please see Paul Miller for application instructions, prior to completing any steps.

There are two designated Admission Decision days for each class section. Please review the dates for your section, posted on the STU 210UA webpage. If you complete your application requirements after the STU 210UA deadline, please check with your Pima Instructor in class for updates, or contact a University of Arizona Transfer Representative. Official notices of admission can be found in your Future WildCat account and are sent to you via US Mail.

Admissions Decisions days are posted on the STU 210UA webpage, and vary by class section.

Students must click the "Proceed to Coding" link on this page, or follow the link in the Transfer Guide, and fill out the form to be coded for STU 210UA. This coding determines qualification for Priority Registration. Please be aware that the University of Arizona Admissions Processing Team will verify enrollment in STU 210UA for every student that requests coding. Students who are not enrolled in STU 210UA will not be coded. The form link and instructions to request coding are provided in the STU 210UA Transfer Guide.

Most students who take STU 210UA will receive Priority Registration, as long as they meet the application deadline and attend their mandatory College Meeting. Due to longer evaluation times, the following groups of students do not qualify for Priority Registration:

  • Re-Admit applicants who left with less than a 2.0 GPA.
  • Students who previously attended as Non-Degree Seeking, and left with less than a 2.0 GPA.
  • International applicants or those who have applications that require the review of international documents.

No. Immunization records are not required until after an applicant is admitted and has a University of Arizona Student ID number. At that point, the student can fax their form to Campus Health. Instructions on how to submit your Immunization Records can be found at Campus Health.

The downloadable Checklist is the last page of the 

. There is a link under the section titled: Instructions for Applying to the University of Arizona. If you have hard-copy transcripts to submit, adhere to the guidelines on the checklist. If you have no hard-copy documents to submit, you do not need to download the Checklist.

The Re-Admission application is only for students who previously attended the University of Arizona and earned grades. The Arizona Re-Admission application can be submitted ONLINE. If you have never attended the University of Arizona as a Degree-Seeking student, then you are required to apply via the Online Application System. Please see our returning student admissions webpage to see if you qualify.

No. Many STU 210UA students are able to submit all application requirements online or electronically. If you are not required to submit your High School transcript and have not attended a college other than Pima, you do not need to turn in an application packet.

No. In order to qualify for STU 210UA Priority Registration, transcripts must be expedited to ensure timely processing of applications. The fastest method is to have transcripts sent to your home but keep them sealed. Mark STU 210UA on all transcript envelopes, place them in a 9x12 manila envelope (include checklist), and take them to the Office of Admissions.

No. Students should request their Pima transcript be sent electronically to the University of Arizona. Students can request their transcripts online via MyPima or at the Student Services Center at any Pima campus.
