Welcome to the University of Arizona!

Steps for new Freshman:

1. Sign up for New Student Orientation
• Complete your Online Academic Tour
• During Orientation you will:
  • Get a UA NetID and create a Computer Account
  • Complete appropriate placement exams
  • Meet with academic advisors to plan courses
  • Register for classes
  • Get your student identification card (CatCard)
  • Provide Immunization Information to Campus Health


2. Arrange Your Finances:
   • How to Apply for Financial Aid
   • Office of Student Financial Aid
     Offers students a full array of scholarships, grants, waivers, loans and work-study.
   • Pay Tuition & Fees
   • Federal Work-Study Program
     Available to students with financial need. Students can get a job on campus and receive a paycheck every two weeks to help supplement the cost of college.
   • Wildcat Joblink
     UA student and alumni one-stop source for on and off-campus job and internship listings including Federal Work Study and Non-Work Study jobs. System also includes local and national job and internship listings.

• CatTran Shuttle Service
  Offers both on campus shuttle service and express service to off campus lots.
• Parking Permits
• UA Bus Pass Program (UPass)
  With U-Pass, UA students and staff get unlimited Sun Tran bus rides, and the University will pay up to 50 percent of the cost.
• Bicycle Information & Registration

• Wildcat Welcome
  We want to be sure that you begin your first days on campus with a warm welcome and an understanding of what life is like at the UA through activities to help you become familiar with the campus and community.
• Transfer Center
  From pre-transfer academic advising to admission information, the Transfer Center serves as a resource throughout the transfer process.

• Student Services:
  • Student Link
    A service that allows students to access personal information and transact university business via the Web. A Student ID and PIN are required. Online course registration and payment is available through Student Link.

    Safety tips, crime statistics, and links to UA departments charged with keeping campus a safe place.

    Your UA NetID is your personal identifier for a number of online services.

  • Residential Computing (ResComp)
    Provides network support for students in the UA Residence Halls. All residence halls have free network connections.
