Turning Students into College Students

Wildcat School is the first university-affiliated charter school in Arizona and one of few nationally. With a focus on science, math and academic excellence, Wildcat School is preparing kids for college – especially children from families with no college experience. UA faculty from the College of Education and Science helped design the curriculum which includes longer days, UA enrichment activities and a palm computer for every child. Wildcat School opened with 6th and 7th graders and will add one grade a year until the first seniors graduate in 2012 (and hopefully become Wildcats!)
