These folks are deadly serious about computer games. In 1999 UA faculty members Judd Ruggill in Media Arts and Ken McAllister in English created the Learning Games Initiative to study, teach with and build all kinds of computer games – arcade, console, PC and handheld. Their project grew exponentially into a worldwide inter-disciplinary research collaboration. The newest game is “Aristotle’s Assassins.” In ancient Greece a young musician overhears a plot to murder the famous philosopher, becomes an unwitting assassin and, to avoid execution, infiltrates two warring secret societies.
