As a high school freshman, Grace Hsieh began research on a vitamin D3 hormone at the UA biochemical lab. As a UA sophomore and member of our Honors College, she co-authored articles for scientific journals such as “Endocrinology.” She’s graduating with one of the UA’s highest honors – the Robie Gold Medal. Her passion for science is equaled by her commitment to public service. An award-winning volunteer, she founded InnoWorks at the UA to connect with under-served middle-school students. A triple major – two science specialties plus East Asian Studies – she contributed to a UA literary and fine arts journal as well as an undergraduate science technology journal. A blackbelt in Taekwando, she’s headed to Harvard Medical School.
