Video: Cats in the Community Partners With Wildcat School
A little digging, some hammering and lots of painting helped give a new look to a Tucson middle school during this year's Cats in the Community Day. About 250 University of Arizona employees and students volunteered Saturday to give an "extreme nonprofit makeover" to the Wildcat School, a charter school affiliated with the UA. You can watch the transformation unfold in this video as workers paint murals, build picnic tables, plant plants and more. Every year, Cats in the Community Day, organized by the UA's Office of Community Relations, partners with a different nonprofit organization. This year's volunteer effort will help the Wildcat School, located in a former warehouse at 25 E. Drachman St., expand to become a K-8 school. read more »
