University Awards for Excellence Winners Cited for Leadership, Organization and People Skills
Can-do attitudes, mentoring, staying calm while juggling multiple responsibilities and generally going above and beyond one's duties were common characteristics among the eight individuals and two teams that were honored at this year's University of Arizona Awards for Excellence ceremony.
Winners were notified last month via giant-check-bearing, Ed McMahon-style "surprise patrols," during which recipients were videotaped after being caught unaware in their offices and cubicles.
The videos were played at a formal ceremony held Tuesday afternoon to honor all of the recipients.
