UAConnect Email May be Moved Back to Campus

Another change may be coming to the email system for University of Arizona employees.

The UA announced in May 2010 that it would purchase Microsoft's Business Productivity Online Suite, an integrated email and calendaring "cloud" product, to replace the University's antiquated WebMail and Meeting Maker systems.

The migration process was scheduled to be completed by spring 2011. As more people made the change, users began reporting problems such as having their email arrive late or out of order and an inability to sync between devices.

University Information Technology Services announced in late September that its most recent migration deadline of Nov. 10 was suspended while staff explored other options.  read more »
