UA Prof Named Outstanding Educator in the English Language Arts
A University of Arizona professor is being recognized for her efforts to introduce children to international cultures through literature.
Kathy Short, director of the UA's Worlds of Words international collection of children's and adolescent literature, has been named the 2011 Outstanding Educator in the English Language Arts by the National Council of Teachers of English.
The award, established in 1995, recognizes an individual whose work has contributed significantly to the field of literacy and language arts education in elementary classrooms. read more »
