What were you doing in the wee hours this morning? Or the overnight hours the day before that? Chances are, you were snuggled into your bed, waiting to be roused from your sleep by the sound of an alarm.
While you were asleep and unaware, in the basement of the Student Union Memorial Center the aroma of cinnamon, apple and dough filled the air while overnight baker Felix Ruiz measured ingredients, moved carts into and out of ovens, mixed ingredients, moved more carts, glazed items that had already baked and moved more carts.
In his wide-awake, overnight world, there's always a timer going off somewhere.
