UA Cares Kicks Off on Tuesday
Whether you have $5 to spare or hundreds, UA Cares can use your help when the annual campaign begins Oct. 11.
In the last few years, employees have given between $300,000 and $400,000 each year during the campaign to help community nonprofits as well as University scholarships, programs and departments.
Two new elements this year have the potential to make a big difference for employees as well as students from low-income families.
The Employee Emergency Fund is meant to help employees get through temporary hardships caused by defined, time-limited, specific events such as an illness in the family.
Affected employees would go through a confidential application process to receive a one-time disbursement of up to $750.
