UA Campus Recreation Hires New Director

Lynn Zwaagstra, a longtime recreation leader who loves outdoor activities, is the new director of Campus Recreation at the University of Arizona.

"Recreation programs foster activity, personal growth and participation in lifelong recreational activities. They also enhance involvement and a sense of community," said Zwaagstra, who has 22 years of experience building and managing recreation programs in academic, municipal and military settings.

"I hope to strengthen the infrastructure of the UA Campus Recreation program, continue the progress toward offering creative and innovative recreation and wellness offerings, and increase our communication with the campus community so we can be responsive to its needs."
