Teaching Academy to Cover Strategies for Online Instruction, Managing Large Classes
University of Arizona instructors looking for tips on managing large classes, teaching online courses or utilizing the latest learning technologies in the classroom might want to check out the Office of Instruction and Assessment's 2011 Teaching Academy on Jan. 6.
Registration for the day of workshops, which runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., is available online.
This is the second time the Office of Instruction and Assessment has offered its Teaching Academy to address common issues facing faculty in a changing educational landscape, where larger class sizes, increased online course offerings and new classroom instructional tools – such as "clickers" that allow students to provide feedback electronically in class – pose new challenges and opportunities for teachers. read more »
