State Retirement System Director to Speak on Campus

University of Arizona employees with questions about retirement will have a chance to hear from the head of the Arizona State Retirement System next week.

Paul Matson, director of the ASRS, will speak to UA employees and retirees at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the College of Education's Kiva Auditorium. Seating is limited, so those planning to attend are asked to RSVP in advance by calling 520-325-4366 or sending an email to uara@dakotacom.net. 

Matson's talk, "Our Pensions: What We Need to Know," is sponsored by the UA Retirees Association with assistance from the UA Office of External Relations. Matson is expected to address concerns about the health of the state's pension fund, how it has weathered economic challenges and how it compares with other public pension funds in the country.  read more »
