Slideshow: Employees Give Back Through UA Cares
From chili cook-offs to chorizo breakfasts, University of Arizona employees held a number of events during the annual UA Cares employee giving campaign to raise money for nonprofit organizations and University programs.
Since the inception of UA Cares in 2002, employees have donated more than $3.3 million to programs of their choosing through campus fundraisers and individual pledges. This year's donations are still being counted and were at about $240,000 as of Monday. In February, during the UA Cares culmination event, one campus unit will be recognized with a trophy for its outstanding work on the campaign.
In this photo slideshow, narrated by Holly Altman, director of outreach and community partnerships in the Office of Community Relations, you can check out some of the creative fundraising efforts UA employees organized for this year's campaign. read more »
