Shelton Addresses Faculty Salaries at Senate Meeting
The University of Arizona is again requesting money from the state for faculty salary increases and is working to identify faculty members at risk for leaving the University for higher pay, President Robert N. Shelton said during Monday's Faculty Senate meeting.
"One of the major concerns that we face year in and year out – I'm preaching to the choir here – is the status of our faculty salary structure," Shelton said. "Whether you're a junior member or a senior member, we know that overall the faculty salaries here aren't keeping up with our peers, aren't keeping up with inflation.
