Research Pair Delves Into Rising Numbers of Parents Opting Against Vaccinations
Two professors at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health have embarked on research into why parents choose to not vaccinate their children – despite the fact it's a new area for both and they have no funding.
Elizabeth Jacobs and Kacey Ernst, both professors of epidemiology and mothers, want to know why parents are deciding against doing something that could prevent illness or even death in their children.
They're working with the Arizona Department of Health Services to identify schools in Arizona where vaccination exemption rates are high. read more »
