PTS Meets Increasing Demand for Transportation Alternatives

Being an auxiliary unit responsible for generating funds from drivers while simultaneously tasked with being environmentally responsible is a precarious spot to be in.

And yet, that is the reality the University of Arizona's Parking & Transportation Services.

The office's main funding comes mostly from permit sales, parking fees in garages and lots, metered spaces, special events and, to a lesser extent, citations.

However, the office staff and, indeed, other members of the UA community have long been concerned with minimizing the UA's carbon footprint.
