President Hart Holds First Town Hall Meeting Next Week
University of Arizona President Ann Weaver Hart has scheduled her first town hall meeting for noon to 1 p.m. next Wednesday.
The meeting, set to take place in the Kiva room of the Student Union Memorial Center, will provide an opportunity for the campus community to ask Hart about issues facing the University.
"This is her first town hall, and I think that this really will give UA employees an opportunity to talk to her about her vision," said Jaime Gutierriez, vice president for External Relations. "She's been here almost four months, and I think that she really has made a lot of dynamic decisions during those four months."
The format for the event will be similar to past town hall meetings with previous presidents. People are invited to email questions in advance to lqp@email.arizona.edu, fill out a question card at the event itself, "and if they're not shy at all, we will have microphones at the event where people can ask their questions personally," Gutierrez said.
