New Tax Forms Due Friday
University of Arizona employees are required fill out a new A-4 tax form by Friday to accommodate a change to Arizona law regarding state income tax withholdings.
The change, resulting from Senate Bill 1185, says that state income tax withholdings will be based on a percentage of an employee's gross taxable wages instead of being a percentage of the amount of federal income tax withheld. This change will ensure that changes to federal withholding do not impact state withholding.
