Modern Streetcar Construction Breaks Ground on UA Campus
Southern Arizona's largest transportation project to date broke ground last week on the University of Arizona campus.
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, U.S. Reps. Raúl Grijalva and Ed Pastor, Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild, Oro Valley Mayor and Regional Transportation Authority Chairman Satish Hiremath and UA President Eugene G. Sander all offered their comments to about 100 onlookers to herald the beginning of the Tucson Modern Streetcar project.
