In Memoriam: Nancy J. Stautz

Nancy J. Stautz, a former special assistant to the senior vice president for campus life, died of cancer on Sept. 6. She was 73.

Stautz served the University of Arizona for 25 years, beginning as an administrative assistant for the department of physics. She ultimately joined the Office of Campus Life under Dudley "Doug" Woodard and later worked with then-Vice President for Campus Life Saundra Taylor, retiring in late 2005. She passed her belief in higher education and passion for the University of Arizona to her children, three of whom went on to work for UA. Two of the three continue to serve here.
