Apps seem to be everywhere these days, as smartphones and tablet computers become more ubiquitous. They help us message each other, update our Facebook profiles, pay our bills or just find our way around. They entertain us, offering all kinds of tiny-screened video games, movies, TV shows and ways to distort our photographs in funny or nostalgic ways. They connect us to the music and literature we love. But what about when we're at work? With so many apps rooted in activity that could be considered a distraction, is it possible there are some that could help? We wanted to find out.
