LQP Asks: Has someone close to you served in the military?
World War I – "the war to end all wars" – ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, with the Germans signing the armistice to end the war. Armistice Day, later to be known as Veterans Day, was born and is celebrated each year on Nov. 11.
A lot of people get the day off from work, and a lot of stores offer big sales for the day.
But it's really a day to remember and reflect on the men and women who have served as part of our country's military. In that spirit, this week LQP asked employees to tell us about someone close to them who has served in the military.
