LQP Asks: Daylight saving time: Are you pro or con?
It happened again March 11, the second Sunday of this month: Most of the people in the United States reset their clocks to "spring forward," as they do every spring, losing an hour in the process.
Daylight saving time is now in effect, except in Arizona and Hawaii, and it will remain so until the first Sunday in November, at which time everyone else will "fall back," regaining the hour they lost a little more than a week ago.
The daylight saving concept is generally agreed to be centuries old, the idea being that during the summer when the sun rises earlier, people get more use out of their daytime by having it last later into the evening.
