Faculty Senate Updated on UAConnect Progress, Adopts Policy About Old Course Work

The Faculty Senate got a bit of good news Monday regarding the implementation of an on-premises solution for people who have been struggling with migration to the UAConnect email service.

The group also placed limits on how long course work is relevant between when a student leaves school without finishing a degree and when the student returns to finish.

Derek Masseth from University Information Technology Services and Brian Atkinson and Dane Velasquez from the UA Network Managers updated the group on UAConnect.

The UA announced in May 2010 that it would purchase Microsoft's Business Productivity Online Suite, an integrated email and calendaring "cloud" product, to replace the University's antiquated WebMail and Meeting Maker systems.
