Faculty, It's Time to Sweep

With computing devices becoming ever more compact, portable and powerful, many users enjoy the freedom of taking their office outside the office, access their projects and data from coffee shops, restaurants and park benches.

With greater freedom, of course, comes greater risk. What used to take up an entire file cabinet now fits neatly on a flash drive, dangling from a key chain. But losing all that information takes only one thoughtless moment, and is gone in a flash.

Losing data is one thing; compromising sensitive data in the process is another. To help prevent sensitive information from getting into the wrong hands, the University of Arizona Information Security Office has launched a campaign to help faculty members eliminate personal information from their computing devices.  read more »
