Favorite thing about working at the UA: I work in a shared facility (with) very expensive instruments and very specialized expertise, so different researchers come to us and we work with them. So it's variety. It’s the variety of what I get to do. And to see the collaboration between different disciplines, which you hear talked about all the time, I’m here doing that and that’s really exciting.
Favorite thing to do when not at work: Arizona is a phenomenal state. I’m a big backpacker. I’m a big hiker. ... I’m starting to get into bird watching, that is kind of fun. I'm enjoying that more. I just put a garden in our backyard; we had a garden patio put in. So I’m getting more into that. Sounds a little outdoorsy, right?
