Favorite thing about working at the UA: Being in a place where science happens. The stuff that is going on you read about in the newspaper or wherever – this is where a lot of it happens. Being in the center of that is great.

What is your favorite thing about space study? There is so much to learn, that there are always new questions to ask, and whenever we send a spacecraft that does something better, we answer some of the questions we had and get six more for every question we answered. ... The field is progressing, but there's so much room there.
