Campus Recycling Bins Now Accept Plastic Nos. 1-7
Yogurt lovers, rejoice: You can now recycle your Yoplait, Dannon and Chobani containers, along with most other kinds of plastic, right here on campus.
With the construction of a new recycling facility in Tucson that will accept most No. 1 through No. 7 recyclable plastics, local garbage collection companies are following suit and accepting those items as well.
That was good news for the University of Arizona when it was time to call for a new garbage collection contract, said Dave Munro, recycling program coordinator for UA Facilities Management. read more »
