Congratulations to the following UA units and employees who have recently received honors in their fields:
Distinguished Professor of Mathematics William Vélez has been elected governor of the Mathematical Association of America Southwestern Section, which covers association members and institutions in Arizona, New Mexico and the El Paso, Texas, area. The association is the largest professional society in the country that focuses on mathematics at the undergraduate level. Vélez's three-year term begins July 1. read more »
