Arizona Repertory Theatre Uses Riddles to Attract New Fans
Employees and other members of the UA community who are good at riddles and enjoy the theater are in luck: The Arizona Repertory Theatre is testing out some new marketing methods that include solving riddles about campus landmarks in exchange for free tickets to its shows.
The professional theater training company has been around for decades, but many in the community – UA and beyond – still confuse it with UApresents or the Arizona Theatre Company, said Lisa Pierce, director of marketing and development for the School of Theatre, Film & Television, which houses the program.
Though the shows are smaller main-stage shows, they still feature high production quality, and this semester she's determined to establish a clear identity for the Arizona Repertory Theatre, she said.
