APAC, SAC Seek to Give Their Constituents a Voice With UA Leaders

As the University of Arizona heralds the beginning of a new school year under the leadership of a new president, the two main governance groups for nonfaculty employees are focused on playing a stronger role when it comes to University decisions that affect them.

Where last year the members of the Appointed Professionals Advisory Council and the Staff Advisory Council were preparing for a transitional year while the UA searched for a new president, this year they are eager to work with Ann Weaver Hart, who began her job last month as the University's 21st president.

APAC and SAC are looking to solidify what they stand for, according to their leaders.
