'AP Spotlight' to Highlight Employees' Contributions

The Appointed Professionals Advisory Council has developed an easy and fun way for University of Arizona employees to recognize those who go above and beyond in the workplace.

"There are few ways to recognize those who day in and out give more than is required," said Holly Altman, director of outreach and community partnerships in the Office of Community Relations and past chair of APAC.

The new effort which is set to launch this week, will allow those employees to be acknowledged wtih a new feature on the APAC website called "AP Spotlight."

Employees can be nominated for recognition via an online form. After screening the nominations, APAC will contact nominees for information about their positions and what they like best about their job, as well as challenges and lessons learned. The nominees can then submit a photo or video to go along with their answers.

Each set of nominees will be featured on the APAC website for a month. There are no limits for nominations – people can be repeatedly nominated, and there is no limit on the number of people who can be recognized per month.
