Patricia Nez Henderson earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the UA and went on to become the first Native American women to graduate from Yale Medical School.   She is now vice president of the Black Hills Center for American Indian Health in Rapid City, South Dakota, a Native-owned nonprofit community-based organization and assistant professor at the Native Elder Research Center at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.Alumni and Donors
