This interdisciplinary program concentrates on the languages, culture, history, and politics of Latin America. Students select a concentration in one department and supplement it with related studies in other departments -- e.g. Latin American history with related studies in political science, geography, and Spanish American literature. All majors must demonstrate competency in either Spanish or Portuguese
