The Honors College offers:

A challenging atmosphere for aspiring doctors, lawyers, engineers, educators, scientists, and performing artists.
Over 200 honors classes each year with average class size of 18; topics include vector calculus, politics of the Middle East, and an encounter with poets and their poetry.
$40,000 annually for student research projects.
Monthly luncheons, extended library privileges, early class registration, cultural events.
One-on-one preparation for national/international scholarship competitions.
A support structure with over 90 advisors and 11 honors staff members.
Nearly 700 housing spaces set aside for honors students - Kaibab, Huachuca, Yavapai and Yuma residence halls.

The UA Honors College provides the best the university has to offer in a challenging, supportive atmosphere for the university's brightest students. More than 200 National Merit scholars enroll at UA each fall. In the past decade, UA honors students have won national/international scholarships including the Marshall, Goldwater, Truman, Fulbright, Rhodes, Udall, Gates Cambridge and Churchill.

Admission to the program is selective. To apply, students fill out the university's general admission application and submit ACT or SAT test scores. Current students may join the program through a nomination process. Students must maintain a 3.5 GPA to remain in the program.
