Media arts majors study film, video and new media. The program focuses on the history, theory, and criticism of media; film and video production; new media; and management of the media arts. Advanced students may obtain on-the-job experience through an internship program and departmental projects.

Major Requirements:

• 2.5 GPA
• BFA major requires portfolio admission

Careers:

• BFA and BA: independent artist, creative and management positions in film or television, preparation for academic careers in media education or research
