Elementary Education, The University of Arizona

The program prepares students to teach children from kindergarten through eighth grade. In addition, the department offers a middle school endorsement, for those who wish to teach grades five through nine, and a bilingual education option, which requires fluency in Spanish and English. The degree leads to certification to teach elementary school in Arizona and most other states (some states may have additional requirements for certification).

field experience in classrooms including a semester-long methods "block" and a semester-long student teaching assignment.
