Marketing is the strategic process of developing and implementing products and services to meet the needs of existing and potential customers, at the same time leading the marketing organization to achieve its goals. Majors study the business and societal environment in which organizations must operate; the development of products and services; the management of pricing, sales, advertising and distribution policies; and the process of monitoring the success of marketing strategies and the satisfaction of customers.
High School Preparation:
- Entrance Requirements
- English, Algebra I and II, plane geometry required
- It is recommended that math be taken throughout all four years of high
school advancing through pre-calculus or calculus.
Major Requirements:
- Major requires math beyond general education requirements, but not
beyond basic calculus; includes Business Math 1, Business Math 2 and
statistics. Transfer students (other than those at Pima Community
College) should take one semester of brief calculus AND one semester of
finite mathematics.
