This major is designed for students who expect to hold managerial positions in large or small organizations. While most students choose to develop their program around human resources management, a flexible curriculum allows them to tailor their degree around general management areas to fit particular interests. The curriculum includes courses in management and policy, communication, economics, psychology, and sociology.
High School Preparation:
- Entrance Requirements
- English, Algebra I and II,
plane geometry required
- It is recommended that math be taken throughout all four years of high
school advancing through pre-calculus or calculus.
Major Requirements:
- Major requires math beyond general education requirements, but not
beyond basic calculus; includes Business Math 1, Business Math 2 and
statistics. Transfer students (other than those at Pima Community
College) should take one semester of brief calculus AND one semester of
finite mathematics.
