The purpose of Graduate Interdisciplinary Program in Genetics at The University of Arizona is to facilitate interdisciplinary training and research in genetics. Genetics is the study of how genes are inherited, how they control the phenotype of cells and organisms, and how they evolve.

Offers the BA degree in Geography, the BS degree in Regional Development, and the MA and PhD degrees in Geography. Features concentrations in Environmental Studies, Social and Cultural Geography, or Development Studies.

Focuses on research and education dealing with the nature, genesis, and history of the Earth and its crust, and with the evolution of the environment and biota at the Earth's surface.

The Department of German Studies provides instruction designed to develop competence in oral and written communication; insights into language form, usage and meaning; and knowledge of German literature, cultural history, and contemporary issues in the German-speaking world.

The program seeks to provide leadership in the identification and response to emerging needs of aging and elderly citizens in Arizona.

Provides students with the knowledge and tools that they will need to embark on careers as educators and researchers in the field of neuroscience. Students participate in designing their own individually tailored programs that provide a thorough base of knowledge in the many facets of neuroscience as well as depth in chosen areas of specialization.

Provides graduate students with a broad understanding of critical concepts and state-of-the-art skills in the rapidly emerging field of global change.
